Major Payne’s Pet Menagerie: Ji-Kun Hatchling

Over the past several weeks, I’ve spent a fair amount of time exploring the inner workings and caverns of the Throne of Thunder. What I’ve found to be most amusing are the numerous piles of bones from adventurers who just couldn’t handle one thing: a bird. Don’t act like some of them aren’t yours!

Admittedly, Ji-Kun does have a large, rather dangerous beak perfectly evolved for tearing off limbs, along with a pair of wings powerful enough to send a plate-clad tauren soaring off a platform like a piece of paper. Yet I can’t help but find this winged beast quite charming. The last time we sat down and squawked together, she was kind enough to call over her clutch to keep me warm. And not coincidentally, I enjoyed a large tray of hot wings that night. Bet you didn’t see that coming!

I have determined, however, that Ji-Kun has flown the coop! She no longer rules the roost, and it’s your job to put a yolk on her and stop the fowl play.

Crithto is heron my behalf to share details about the pet you’re after.

Ji-kun-Hatchlingl.jpg

Crithto: No bones about it, the Ji-Kun Hatchling is an eggcellent DPS pet to have on your team. With calamitous abilities like Acidic Goo and Flock, this fledgling can quickly tern the tide against your opponent. But the mayhem doesn’t stop there--its Caw and Slicing Winds can be quite ravenous. Owl leave you with these words: You can thank me later wren you get this pet!

Now, I have no intention of ruffling your feathers here. During your training you’ve proven you can claw your way out of many scary predicaments, but this pet won’t be easy to tame, because Ji-Kun won’t give up her young on a lark.

Quick, there’s little time to sparrow! Get thee to Throne of Thunder! YOU WON’T EGRET IT!!

Come join the discussion about this pet in our Pet Battles forum. You can also learn more about the Ji-Kun Hatchling by visiting WarcraftPets.com.

5.3 Hotfixes: May 21

Hello Dev team, I have several concerns about the current state of rogues in PvP that i would greatly appreciate you addressing.

Firstly, I have some inquires regarding the thought process behind the change *nerf*to cloak and dagger. Since this is going to sound like a biased opinion being a rogue I will address the reason why you can justify it being nerfed and why you are wrong.

Cloak and dagger was a strong ability and used correctly with Shadow Dance had the ability to CC an entire team or when used in conjunction with cloak of shadows made you unpeelable. This is all true however unlike most other classes doing this was a very major commitment
from a rogue with not other substantial damage outside of shadow blades the rogue was sacrificing it's ability to go for the kill. Cloak and dagger was also considered very strong because of the ability to use abilities until 1/4 diminishing returns and cause very substantial pressure most likely resulting in a kill. Again however this could be countered
like anything else in the game by using cooldowns when cooldowns were used.

Could anything else have been doing except your decision to make it only usable from stealth? Why yes! You could have just nerfed the duration of garrote silence and cheap shot and the problem would have been solved giving a potential kill target 2 free globals with the time gained to use an appropriate cooldown if they were unable to do so before.

Oh wait, you did that aswell.

Now even while using dance to go offensive we don't have the amount of cc to keep someone locked down long enough to put out significant pressure.

I will make my last issue with rogues short and sweet. We now are forced to take shadowstep to have a reliable gap closer outside of every 1.5 mins. Since every class has a gap closer it is going to be very very easy to predict a rogues movement and counter it with a move of their own. This would be fine expect that you not only have taken away a rogues ability to be offensive but you also have left rogues in a state where they can easily be killed 100-0 by the majority of classes.

To summarize you took away the move that made rogues offensive after being dog in 5.1 only to nerf it back to a similar state in 5.3. So i am again just curious about the reasoning.

Please respond.
